LASER TREATMENTS

Laser treatments at Beauty Plus are conducted by The Huxley Laser
Clinic, using the IPL System to treat a wide range of skin conditions,
including the removal of unwanted hair, rejuvenation, pigmented
lesions, acne and vascular disorders.

HAIR REMOVAL
Removing hair by laser produces excellent results - the melanin in the
hair absorbs the light, the hair shaft is heated, damaging the cells in
the hair follicle, the hair falls out and cannot re-grow from the
same follicle.

PIGMENTED LESIONS
Liver and sun spots benefit considerably with the IPL laser system -
areas of pigment absorb the light and are heated. The pigmented skin darkens initially and renews over the next five days.

THREAD VEIN/ROSACEA
Facial thread veins, Rosacea, Spider Naevi and leg veins (up to 3mm
diameter) can be treated and respond well to the laser procedure.
The filtered light is absorbed by the blood vessel, heating it to a point
where it is destroyed.

ACNE TREATMENT
Yellow, green and red light is emitted in a series of short pulses. The
yellow/green light destroys the bacteria that live in the skin and
cause acne, while the red light directly targets the overactive
sebaceous glands that cause outbreaks.
